Frequently Asked Questions

I’m tall. Which pant styles are best for long legs?
The Paola Bootcut Pant is our longest pant, with an extra-long inseam that ranges from 32” on the extra small to 36” on the extra large. We recommend sizing up on this slim fit, mid-rise style. Our new Amanda Flare Pant is also great for long legs. It too features a longer inseam, from 32” on the extra small to 36” on the extra large. The flared leg silhouette is long enough to be worn with heels. If you are comfortable with the pant hitting right at the ankle, the Skyler Skinny Pant is an option too.
I’m short. Which pant styles are best for petites?

The good news is that all of our pants can be easily hemmed, except for the Susan Skinny Ankle Pant and the Andrea Contrast-Panel Legging. So if you like the slim look of the Skyler Skinny Pant, it can be tailored to you. Alex Jimenez, world traveler and creator of TravelFashionGirl.com, calls our Skylers “the best travel pants for women.” She says that at 5’2”, she has a difficult time finding pants that fit her properly, but the Skyler is now her go-to pant for its perfect fit. She simply rolls up the leg.

Another good option for petites is The Kate Skinny Cargo Pant, which hits at the ankle. The Celine Cropped Pant and Marisa Cropped Pant are also ideal for smaller statures.

I’m curvy. What is my ideal pant?

Our Celine Cropped Pant has a flattering missy fit that complements curves. It’s a slim fit style, just a roomier slim fit. The loose contour waistband is ultra- comfortable with a mid rise that falls below the natural waist—making you look and feel amazing.

The Kate Skinny Cargo Pant is another ideal option. Modern and sporty, the mid- rise style sits on the hips to hug curves in all the right places. “I carry some weight in my hips and thighs and the Kate Pant is not only slimming, but better built for a girl with some curves,” says Nora Dunn, global traveler and creator of TheProfessionalHobo.com.

I have a bigger bum. What is my perfect pant?
Our bestselling Kate Skinny Cargo Pant. The mid-rise style hits below the navel, with a slimming fit that sits on the hips. Back pouch pockets also flatter the bum, making it appear smaller.
I want to streamline my stomach. Which pants will work that magic?
The Andrea Contrast-Panel Legging is a comfortable pull-on style with a wide high-waist Lycra waistband that smoothes your midsection without a muffin top effect. The Celine Cropped Pant is another slimming option with a loose contour waistband that’s forgiving and flattering. The XL can comfortably fit sizes 14-16.
I like high-rise styles. Which pants are best for me?

Try our bestselling Skyler Skinny Pant. The high-rise waist ranges from 8.75” on the extra small to 10” on the extra large. With a slim, ultra-comfortable fit, it’s the perfect replacement for high-rise skinny jeans and yoga leggings.

The Fiora Cargo Pant is another high-rise style, with a waist that ranges from 9.25” on the extra small to 10.25” on the extra large. It has a comfy, easy fit and straight leg. And our Andrea Contrast-Panel Legging also has a high-rise waist, ranging from 10” on the extra small to 13” on the extra large. The sleek style is designed for all-day comfort with no closure, zipper or snaps on the front. Additionally, due to demand on high-rise styles, the new Marisa Cropped Pant was designed with a high-rise waist and easy size zip. The waist ranges from 10.25” on the extra small to 11.25” on the extra large.

I like lower-rise styles. Which pants are best for me?
The Kate Skinny Cargo Pant and the Susan Skinny Ankle Pant are both mid-rise styles that hit below the navel. The waist on both measures 8.5” on the extra small to 9.5” on the extra large.
I prefer pull-on pants. Are there are any styles without zippers?
The Andrea Contrast-Panel Legging is any easy pull-on style. Crafted of two high performance stretch fabrics with a shaped waistband, it provides a comfortable, figure-flattering fit. The new Marisa Cropped Pant is a dressier version of a pull- on style. A high-rise waist and easy size zip make it an effortlessly chic design.
What does “easy care” really mean?
It means that no dry cleaning and no ironing are required. Simply machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low. Or hand-wash items in a hotel sink and hang to dry. The majority of Anatomie’s high-performance European fabrics are designed to hang-dry within 15 to 20 minutes. All wrinkles disappear as you put on your clothes and wear them due to the unique fabrics. They also do not shrink or fade and never wear out. (Almost like a 100,000-mile- warranty on a great car.) Except for specialty pieces made of materials such as leather or wool, no special care is required for the ultra-resilient fabrics.
What about pieces made of mesh or lace?
You do not need to be careful with them. Follow the same easy care procedures detailed above. The mesh we use is a “power mesh”—an actual extreme sport fabric. The lace we use is a blend of indestructible fabrics, including resilient Lycra. These clothes are not fragile; they are designed to be worn often and all over the world.
Why $225 for a pair of pants?
We put the utmost care and attention to detail into crafting every pair of pants. Designed of high quality French and Italian fabrics, our pants are made in third- generation factories with a history of excellence in the designer fashion world. Each pair is cut and sewn with expert precision, perfectly made for a woman’s body and to complement her active lifestyle. If you wear the pants once a week for the next year, you’re paying about $4.30 per wear. Because of the exceptional craftsmanship of these pants—they do not wear out—you can expect to wear them for up to 10 years. Wearing them once a week averages out to $.43 per wear. And of course, if you find any imperfections with the pant, we replace them right away. Apples to apples, it’s an amazing value.
How many pieces can I fit in a carry-on with a weight limit?
You’ll be well under the 40-pound weight limit mandated by many airlines. Anatomie uses only lightweight, breathable fabrics that won’t weigh down your suitcase. Consider that two pairs of our pants weigh less than a banana. All of our online orders ship in a convenient packing cube, which can hold three pairs of pants, three tops and one jacket—weighing in at only four pounds. Fifteen Anatomie pieces—including a mixture of pants, tops and jackets—weigh only eight pounds, making the perfect carry-on for a weeklong conference or vacation.
