"On the go" has always defined Marilyn DeMartini. A childhood tomboy turned dancer, gymnast, and cheerleader, she discovered early that writing was her true passion, building her journalism education into a dynamic career. 

From Pittsburgh to Cape Cod to Boston, where she worked with the Boston Ballet and WROR-FM, to Florida, Marilyn's path has always followed curiosity and risk. An avid runner, golfer, motorcycle enthusiast, and gym rat, she began writing about sports and fitness before a freelance assignment with a Miami offshore powerboat racing team changed everything. 

That job launched a decades-long career in performance boating and inspired her to form her agency, PR Power, through which she represented prestigious brands like Cigarette Racing Team, Outerlimits, and Statement. For nearly 30 years, she has covered the sport internationally as a freelance journalist for major marine publications. 

She eventually closed PR Power to focus fully on journalism. Along the way she found another calling, her husband Dave, and together they discover new stories, destinations, and the fascinating people behind them. Through Dave's children, she embraced another rewarding role as grandmother to four. 

Her brand, Marilyn DeMartini Tells Your Story, reflects her commitment to the why behind every story, crafting narratives that entertain, inform, and connect. When not on a boat, she's in the gym, on a yoga mat, or tending her tropical garden.
