Best Summer Into Fall Transition Pieces from Anatomie
Runway shows this year highlight at least three trends for Fall: pistachio hues in general; the lightweight, loose yet elegant pantsuit, in cream tones; and the summer-born, often floral-print dress, made over for cooler weather with the addition of a basic blazer or jacket. Somewhere along these lines, Anatomie’s practical chic is required.
The essentials are obvious: sleeves, short or long (or even no sleeves), tops of all sorts, prioritized by one button-down white shirt like our Beth Luxe Button Front Shirt and you’re set for the season. You may also like to try our high-low, very sporty travel cardigan, or our Cece button-front tunics, in black or a refreshing, dainty floral on white.

If it’s a dress you crave, we carry a cool, sleeveless maxi in black or red for a change of pace, and two sleeveless little black dresses (the Piper Wrinkle Free Shift, and the Michele Slim Fit) that will work like magic with any jacket.

And of course, Anatomie continues to offer its best-selling plethora of wondrously fitting travel pants in dark and earthy tones, rich but light-as-air fabrics. For the curvy or slim, petite or taller, adventurous, business travelers or urban dwellers, but mostly women who want to move freely in classy clothes, forgetting pedestrian worries such as packing, wrinkled attire, dry cleaning, washing or ironing.
However, this seasonal transition, the jacket is the thing.
Let’s take off from our Ariele Lace Bomber Jacket. Yes, a super-feminine bomber jacket made in Italy and detailed with resilient, floral lace that can be machine or hand washed. Good for travel but also for dinner in the city, sometime when the leaves begin to turn.Â

While we’re on the femininity subject, we must mention the Anatomie Primrose Floral-Print Velvet Blazer, in luxe, wrinkle-free stretch that is cut slightly longer for comfort and polish from work to evening. Made in Italy and in our sale section now!
For a warmer feel, look for our jersey jackets -printed or solid and sometimes hooded- the cozy Lugano Asymmetrical Zip Front -its dramatic, fold-over collar doubles as a sewn-in scarf- and our Travel City Slick Jacket, in waterproof, lushly brushed fleece. The collar can be zipped up into a high funnel neck in inclement, windy days; strategic side panels have a slimming effect.

The Daisy Hooded Knit Blazer was designed especially for travel but will fare well anywhere.
You can also choose from a line of sophisticated leather numbers (a favorite is the Logan Moto Jacket) and a variety of vests to top your long-sleeve shirts and knits.
We must never sign off before reminding you of the ever-popular Kenya Safari Jacket, made for all kinds of weather (but then, you probably already own one). And we should advise you to take a peek at the Jillian Asymmetrical Knit Jacket, an online exclusive.

Now you can prepare for the near future. Throw in a statement scarf, your choice of earrings, and put away all sandals please, before you see the first Autumn leaf pass by your window.
