I am keeping these but do not love them as I love the Gail's. As a previous reviewer mentioned, they run large especially around the waist. I probably should have exchanged for a smaller size but ran out of time due to my busy travel schedule. The pockets flare out and do not sit flat so although very handy, they are not flattering at all and I don't feel like you can dress them up as easily as the Gail's -- they are more "relaxed", true to description. These are super comfortable though and I'm sure I will get tons of wear out of them since I travel so much -- I just don't love them on me. I also wish the sizing was more consistent -- I seem to be a M in some Anatomie styles and an S in others, which is annoying when you don't have the time to order/send back/order again.
I ordered the Gail high waisted pants in a medium and they are wonderful. Only one issue, the snap broke 2 weeks later as I was about to leave for Europe. I emailed the company and they are FEDEXing a pair of new pants to me which I was VERY pleased with as these are not cheap pants.
I love the quality and style of the pants but the first pair of pants I ordered were large and they were just a little too small so I had to go to XL, I just got them yesterday and they aren't a size up at all, I didn't even have to undo the zipper they were so big, they look terribly large and will have to return them.
Love these pants - they were my go-to for a recent two-week trip to Europe. I also may have purchased them because we have the same name. ;) I'm a bit old-fashioned in that I prefer to dress up a little when flying (as opposed to wearing oh-so-tempting yoga pants!) and the Gail pants are very flattering and feel amazing on, and super comfortable in-flight! They look equally good paired with different shoes (flats/sandals/espadrilles and sneakers) and tops (t-shirts, linen shirt and pop-over blouse). What was great was they were still comfortable and I stayed cool on warm 29-34ºC days, and transitioned well into the evenings. Perfect for me as I forgot to pack shorts and am not really a skirt/dress wearer. As another reviewer mentioned- the price is justified by the cost per wear.
The fabric was easy to wash and dried quickly. One thing to note and what I found odd was the zip orientation - these are the only pair of pants/jeans I own that zip up on the left side, which was counter-intuitive for me as a right-hander. I wonder if this might be a QC thing or if this is the intended design. Still...love them and look forward to wearing them again!
This is my second pair of Anatomie pants. Like previous reviewer, I had to size down (from Medium to Small). Love the fabric, love the higher waist. I have worn them to work, and looking forward to using them for travel in the next few months. The cost per wear justifies the higher price tag. Get them!
I can't even count how many pair of Anatomie pants I have! While I love them all, the Gail is definitely one of my favorites. It is a slim fit, but I did find for me they run a bit large. I love the high waist and the zippers really add to the pant. They can definitely be dressed up. I wear Anatomie pants all the time. They wash very well and air dry quickly. For reference I am 5'4" 110 lbs. and wear the XS.
