Don’t you just love starting a new year? You feel fresh, rejuvenated, and have the motivation to try something new. So why not give these upcoming 2014 fashion trends a try? The spring and summer style seasons are calling our names…especially after this unbearably freezing winter. Even though we still have a couple more months to tackle this winter, it never hurts to start planning that fresh new wardrobe of yours. There are two trends coming up that we think will be fun and easy for everyone to try: mix matching prints and adding a pop of Pantone’s Color of the Year -“Radiant Orchid”.

Prints on Prints

Mixing different prints can be intimidating at first, but once you give it a try you’ll absolutely love it. It helps if you pick one dominating print and complement it with a more subtle print. This will take away the “crazy” feel of the mismatch. Below are a couple of inspirations that you can play with in the months ahead. We paired a printed blouse with a cool pair of monochrome TOPSHOP Cigarette Trousers as well as a summer printed top with an embroidered knee-length skirt. Check it out below!

Radiant Orchid – Color of the Year 2014

Is this the most beautiful color or what? It is so feminine yet bold and empowering all at the same time. LOVE IT. It’s a great color for accessories (shoes, bags, jewelry and even make up) and can be paired with neutrals to create that “pop” effect. We will also be playing with this trend in our upcoming Spring 2014 collection! Shawn gave the color an even richer tone that will complement all skin colors and bring your outfits to life. Remember, the collection launches on March 1st…so stay tuned!
